What’s going on?

How does someone go from appearing on the Ed Sullivan show at 5 years old to auctioning their belongings to a disinterested crowd before disappearing, almost vanishing, without a trace?

Jacques Peretti, Journalist and life long fan, documented this sudden change in Michael Jackson’s life last week on channel 4 and it gave amazing insight but still left me with unanswered questions, unresolved issues with Michael Jackson himself and the people surrounding I’m and it also provoked thoughts of my own.

In 2005, the king of pop was declared innocent of all charges against him. Well done and thanks to Tom Snedon who made the law see through the lie’s of the money grabbing families but why was this not enough for the world? What happened to innocent till proven guilty? People still walk around with the tag ‘paedo’ stuck in their minds when it comes to Michael Jackson. It seems they have forgotten the performer inside! Originally nick-named by his manager as the king or rock, pop and soul, Michael Jackson has 15 Grammies, 4 Brit awards and is the most famous and successful pop star ever to have graced our planet – Where has this all gone? Who destroyed it? Why does it appear that no one is or was helping him through his tough days?

You look at every pop star and you’ll see the M.J excretes out of them in their dance moves, their performance style and their voices. He not only made music he influenced a movement and broke the mould.

Remember the head lines – ‘Michael Jackson sleeps in an oxygen chamber’ ‘I saw the ghost of John Lennon’ ‘M.J moves a chimp in to his home and names in bubbles’ ‘Michael uses levitation to relax’ This was a creation of a media monster! Just like a cartoonist invents a character for their story, the media created ‘Wacko Jacko’ By the way none of the above are true! Both M.J and his manager found this so ludicrous that they played along, marvelled at the way the media can be influenced by anything whether it is fact or fiction. So much so that when Michael had his Pepsi cola fire accident he requested to his manager to wear a crystal glove on his right hand, A piss take, playing along. When wheeled out of the ambulance he waved to the press, a big up yours believe what you want, where did everyone’s sense of humour go? M.J still had his and he was in pain from head to toe!

Have people ever listened to Emmanuel Lewis or Macaulay Culkin? They loved him and had fun with him but were never harmed or threatened in any way.

I think people will always believe what they want to believe regardless of fact but why not remember his songs? Why not remember his showmanship and why not remember his star quality?

In my opinion, jealous people who saw him as an easy target made ‘Wacko Jacko’ and the accusations made against him. To squash the king of pop would, apparently according to Diana Diamond (reporter) be an honour. Bringing him down has been her mission for the last 10 years. She says its not an obsession its unfinished business, I’ll leave it up to you to decide.

Now, No one is really sure what his next steps are to be. He held an auction in Las Vegas and the quantity of belongings was independently valued at $50 million, it went on for 3 days. The occasional passer by popped it for a look, like it was a freak show, but no one bid! All those prize processions and pieces of pop history and no one bid, like they were dirty and un-wanted.

This incredible man is now reduced to living in the suburbs of Las Vegas, hiding away, Unable to return to never land ranch due to feeling invaded. I say enough is enough! If I ever saw him in the street I’d invite him in for a ‘cuppa cha’

M.J. I wanna ‘rock with you’ so long as the ‘man in the mirror’ ‘beats it’ and for god sakes ‘leaves you alone’ because the ‘way you make me feel’ is just ‘human nature!’
